Azw—Ausbildungszentrum Winterthur—was founded in 2002, and is the leading training center for industrial-technical professions in German-speaking Switzerland. They have training centers in Winterthur, Uster and in Langenthal. Their centers qualify apprentices at the highest level in the following industrial-technical professions: EFZ plant and apparatus engineer, EFZ automation technician, EFZ Automatic fitter, Electronics technician EFZ, Maintenance specialist EFZ, Computer scientist EFZ, EFZ commercial clerk, EFZ design engineer, EFZ Logistics Technician, EFZ Polymechanic, EFZ production mechanic, EFZ construction machinery mechanic, Retail trade specialist EFZ, Drainage technician EFZ, Business EFZ.

Azw has a holistic, practice-oriented approach, so that learners develop the technical, methodical and social skills necessary to succeed. Professionals at the center are trained on a work contract whenever possible—this way, they are exposed to real-life work experiences in order to learn to take responsibility for client expectations, quality and delivery.

Plant & Apparatus Engineering

The student will learn to manufacture metal apparatus, machines, and systems. This includes fabricating individual parts, assembling them into components; as well as operating and maintaining equipments.
